I like the journalism

My favorite subject is Reportage, because I love to write stories and in that way to show others the different realities of the people.

I believe that each person is a world and that all has a lot to say, I am fascinated by the social issues. I like to expose the problems of the people, but also to give an account of those simple things, daily, that make us happy.

Not everything is bad, not everything is ugly, our country is full of nice stories that sometimes we ignore, but that make us to be as we are, are part of our identity and our culture.

I like to write in a more formal way, that is why I prefer the reports instead of the chronicles, I like to cover several topics within a great theme and exploit to the maximum each subject. In the future I would like I am a reporter and researcher, to report first source.

Pepe Mujica, the best!

José Mujica is the former president of Uruguay, in my opinion it is one of the best people this planet, his thought and humility they do be a person very dear and admired.

Within his government implemented a number of measures which include:

- Integration Plan Associate-Housing "together", which consisted in the delivery of housing solutions to those families of scarce resources.

- To legalize and regulate the sale of marijuana, which resolves to a certain extent the problem with drugs and delivers a solution to the chronically sick who need the plant as medicine.

- Public apology to violations of human rights, a discourse in which publicly acknowledged the responsibility of the Uruguayan State in violations of human rights during the years of the dictatorship.

Mujica resigned to live in the presidential house and donated the 90 per cent of their salary, claiming win more money than needed.

His humility makes it very much loved and admired, I wish there were more people like him in the world!

THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY LIFE

While I am not a singer and I know not playing any musical instrument, I like music very much. I like the power they have the songs for transportation through the memories.

I like the group Amaral, in particular the songs "are my friends" and "like talking", because I remember my childhood, when my mom the heard on the radio.

There is a song that brings me many memories, his name is "The Sensei" of the group Las pastillas del abuelo, reminds me of the days in which gave test university selection and then when I came to Santiago to enroll to the University, my cousin always listened to them in the car, was a time of many emotions.

I like to listen to songs of Gepe, as "Winter" and "TKM", because I like tells the stories. I also like Joe Vasconcellos and its famous song (magic). "High Jump" of Ases Falsos identifies me very much, because I am in a time of my life where everything is a mess and sometimes I want to jump. But the topic I like most is my favorite group, Cultura Profética, and is named "gives equal" which speaks of individualism and how we are people manipulated.

The first day at University

The first day at University

at first sight is only a photo of many people smiling, but it is much more than that, 

is the portrait of a day of much nervousness and happiness, is the portrait of my first day at university and the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

These beautiful women are my friends and the handsome man is a former classmate. That day we were very happy, was our first day at the university and were complying with our dream of studying Journalism.

In the photo, it seems that we know of the whole life, however, it was the first time we saw, even though we speak during the summer by Whatsapp and Facebook.

When we met we had an incredible connection, was almost magical and from that moment we have a nice and great friendship, in spite of the fact that many were changed from University.

My fauvorite scene: The death of the Bambi's mother

The death of the Bambi's mother

It's not my favorite scene, but it's the scene I like the most, not for the death of the Bambi's mother, but by the emotional content that the scene projected.

Bambi is a film of animation produced by Walt Disney Productions and the film tells the story of a deer called Bambi. After the death of his mother, Bambi had to learn to live alone and take care of the dangers to which it is exposed a small deer.

The first time I saw this scene I had 5 years and from that moment I cannot avoid crying because I think that Bambi is a example of overcoming And it serves as an example to children to demonstrate that in life everything is possible if you struggle to achieve something.

The TV

The tv is one of the most important inventions of the humanity. It is a system for the transmission and receipt of images and sound that simulate movement. The first public emission of television was in England in 1936 and since then it has transformed the life of millions of people into the whole world.

The Tv is a “window to the world” for more people, it is a space that allows to know new cultures, places and realities. However, in the last years it has been manipulated and controlled by economic interests of its owners, leaving of side the social role that initially characterized the TV.

There are many channels and TV programs, focused on different areas: sport, music, entertainment, information, education etc. and I hope that the cultural programs increase and the advertising diminishes, because the people need to learn and not to become more ignorant.

Why did you choose this career/study programme?

I have always liked Journalism, but in the south it was very difficult because Santiago is the news center of the country.

For this reason, it was always my second option. In high school I thought in studying Social Work or Political Science because I like speaking with people, knowing their problems and doing everything possible to help. Finally I got the score necessary to enter the University of Chile to study the program that always I wanted.

I don't like the injustice, the discrimination, the abuse and the bad practices. In the future I would like contribute with the truth and a job well done.

I hope to finish the program successfully and satisfy my purpose with society. 

My autobiography

My name is Carolina Garcés, I am 19 years old and I was born in Osorno. I study journalism at University of Chile, for this reason, I currently live in Santiago.

I live with two friends: Tania y Alexander. We always do fun things, for example: listen to music, karaoke, cooking and watch tv.

I don’t like the sport, the dogs and hatred seafood. I like to travel south, to be with my family and friends. I like to the parties and the tranquility of de countryside, I like to do many things, I don’t like to lose the time!!

I love the cats, are soft and loving. My cat is named King Kong, he is live in Osorno with my parents and my sister. I would like to have a cat in Santiago, but it is very difficult because I live in a department. In the future I would like to have a CatCoffee
